Hairdressing Disaster!

I have had a lot of different hair colours. I haven't had my natural hair colour since I was about 12 or 13 when my mom started putting highlights in my hair. I think my natural colour is about a mousey brown and since then I've had all different kinds of browns, dark brown, light brown, brown with highlights, reddish brown but about 4 months ago I decided to try the blonde and my favourite hairdresser who always knows what she is doing and always does my hair perfect is 2 hours outside of Melbourne. She's only been my hairdresser for the past 6 months but I never want to change and I absolutely LOVE my blonde colour!

However since Racheal (my hairdresser) lives 2 hours outside of Melbourne, it is difficult to get out there when I'm working a full time job in Melbourne at the moment especially since little country towns like Sale are closed on Sundays and really busy on Saturdays. So I just wanted some of my re-growth done, exactly the same colour that I had. It is kind of funny that my favourite hairdresser is all the way out in Sale and half the price than any place in Melbourne. Because of that I didn't want to pay to much just to get my re-growth done so I went to Hairhouse Warehouse. BIG MISTAKE! I was going to pick my boyfriend up from the airport and I was coming from work in the city so I picked a Hairhouse Warehouse somewhere in the middle so at in Maribyrnong. Again BIG MISTAKE! I had a bad feeling when I first went in. They were running half an hour behind and when she finally got started on my hair. The hairdresser kept talking, joking around and flirting with her friend that was sitting next to me. When my foils were in my hair she did another person's hair and went to a store in the mall to buy some shoes. Very unprofessional already but I wasn't too fussed until she took my foils out and my hair had turned WHITE! My blonde was more of a goldy blonde. It didn't match my hair at all and I told her and she said well this is the colour that everyone wants to get. I AM NOT EVERYONE!! I told you what I wanted so give me what I want!

So when she noticed that I was really not happy, she said that she could put a toner in my hair to make it the colour I wanted. A different girl put a toner in my hair since the girl that was doing my hair was too busy with god knows what. I think everyone ended up forgetting about me and they left the toner in too long and my hair turned light BROWN!!! All my hard work and Rachael beautiful work in getting my hair to a beautiful blonde was destroyed!!!! I told them I hated it but they blow-dryed it to make it look lighter, still hated it!! I didn't even want them to blow-dry it because I was late in picking up Rhys from the airport.

Anyway, she said the toner should wash out in a week and if I still don't like it, I should come back. I didn't have time to argue so I just went up to pay which I really didn't want to do anyway because I absolutely hated my hair!! I had called a different Hairhouse Warehouse earlier that day and they told me it would cost $85 for a half head of foils but when I went up to pay she said $160!! I told them no way! She said at their salon they charge $110 for a half head of foils and $50 for a blow wave (which I didn't even ask for). She said ok, I'll give it to you for $150.... BIG WHOOP! Anyway, being late to the airport, I had to quickly leave so I just paid it and then the waterworks came straight away!

When I picked up Rhys, still crying hysterically! He took me to a different Hairhouse Warehouse that was close to our house and asked if they could fix it. They told me that they had left the toner in too long and that I should wash my hair out with dishwashing liquid to get the toner out quicker and then I made an appointment with them the next morning to fix it. Since I had a party that night that I had to look fabulous for. After washing my hair out with dishwashing liquid, I had an afro because my hair was so damaged and my hair felt like hard string. I put 2 treatments in it but not much improvement.

The next morning I went to the Hairhouse Warehouse at Chadstone and they coloured my whole hair and put a toner and treatment in it and it got a lot better but still not to the beautiful colour I had before. Will have to go back to Racheal to get it fixed but have to wait a while now that my hair is so incredibly damaged!

Some of the worst 2 days of my life!

Lesson learned: NEVER GO TO HAIRHOUSE WAREHOUSE!!!!!!!
