Mood Swings

Today has been a day of mood swings with lots of different emotions. Not the kind of mood swings you usually think of but real justified emotions. Started off by watching the Olympics ice-hockey which was awesome until Sweden lost to Slovakia, which was very unexpected and disappointing since Sweden is supposed to be the best in the world and was pretty much expected to meet Canada in the finals. Then I got a ride to work from my amazing boy Rhys but was not excited about going to work at all because I got in to a fight with one of my coworkers yesterday and really did not want to see him. However when I got to work I was pleasantly surprised that he was not there so I got to work and all was flowing real well, I was busy and doing a good job so mood was on top. Then I found out that my basketball coach did not want me to play in our game tonight because I haven't been to trainings lately due to my ankle injury so that made me a little upset although I did understand him.

But after that I went to lunch with my sweet boyfriend which kept my mood on top. After lunch I spoke to my uncle about a new job offer, which could not really come at a better time. So exciting! (More about this job offer in another post). However the phone conversation then turned to depressing since he told me that my grandma is nearing the end of her life and could probably die any day now. This was the ultimate mood swing for the day since it pretty much brought me to tears. I have never had anyone close to me die and of course it will happen sooner or later but I don't feel like I could ever be ready for it.

After wiping away my tears, I had a great meeting about this new project that we are starting at work, which got me quite excited about my job again and motivated to do a good job. And after the meeting I got into my work and worked for 3 hours straight really hard on this new newsletter, which I was really proud of. So I was ready and happy to go home finally at 7pm but this good mood quickly got crashed down when I asked my coworker if he liked the new newsletter which of course he could only point out faults about so I was down again. But then I was on my way to see my girls play one of the top teams, which was awesome and exciting because it was a great game and we won in the end :). So at least the day ended on a good note but damn!

At least I get to go to bed with one handsome man... that will always make your day end up on top :)
