I've been on a bit of an emotional roller-coaster the past week. When first hearing about the deal, it was pretty tough for Rhys and I. We had no idea what to do and we spent several days weighing up our options, making pros and cons lists, talking to lots of other people to get their opinion. We realized pretty quickly that the absolute best thing for Rhys' career is to go to Adelaide. Since I end my job at the end of June, my career wasn't really thought about since I've had work experience in both Sweden and Australia and I did do my degree in Australia so I shouldn't have trouble finding work there. The main thing that was on the cons list was leaving my family and friends behind. It has been so nice being back in Europe and being able to visit everyone whenever I want and calling them when I feel like it, not thinking about a time-difference. However, after a while we decided to go to Adelaide.
Of course, a few days later I get an amazing job opportunity for a job that is definitely in the dream job category. This made things really tough because then it was more like I'm leaving a whole life behind in Sweden - family, friends and a job!
But the things we do for love right? :). We are still young and Rhys is coming in to his peak in his basketball career so then it is important to be in a good quality league and be able to improve as much as possible. I love Australia as a place, just hate that it is so far away from home. It'll be fun with a new adventure though :). Don't want to jinx it but there are hopes of another love of mine coming to Adelaide as well :)... more on this later.
Done pouring my heart out for now ;).
