Norröra

So if you didn't already know, I am currently homeless. I quit my job in Gothenburg and Rhys and I moved out of our apartment there which was on loan from the team an since he quit the team, we of course had to move out. We packed up all our stuff, moved it into storage and some at my lovely grandpa's place and now I'm currently living out of a suitcase until I find my next home. Rhys has moved to Australia to join his new team and has already started training but unfortunately I can't join him yet since I have to wait to get my visa to be able to get into the country. Therefore, at the moment, as we say in Sweden, i'm on a travelling foot.

There are some perks to being homeless though and that is that I can go stay at all my family and friends' lovely homes and visit everyone. After the move from Gothenburg, I was in Luxembourg at my dad's place for a week with family visiting friends then down to Spain for 2 weeks at grandma's place with friends and now I have made my way to Norröra.

Norröra is an Island in the Stockholm archipelago or "Stockholms skärgård" as we say in Sweden. My dad's wife has a beautiful place here on the water, surrounded by forrest and nature. It is very peaceful, the only thing I can hear at the moment is the water hitting the dock and birds chirping. The weather has actually been fantastic, which a strong statement coming from me about Swedish weather. So I've been able to keep working on my tan and to read my book.

I'm here with some family and of course Chilli, the dog. My brother, Ricard and Oscar were also here during the weekend for a quick visit. That was when we took the chance to go waterskiing, wakeboarding and some sailing. However, I was a bit disappointed cuz I wasn't able to get up on the waterskiis!!! I didn't want to give up but I also didn't want to keep everyone out there until dinnertime so after about 10 tries, (yes 10!!!), i gave up. Didn't even want to try the wakeboard after that little fiasko. However, I did go sailing with our 2-person katamaran and mastered it :). I even hung out of the boat in trapeze! Good times! :).

Anyway, long sleep-ins, good food, good weather, spending time with family and some peace and quiet. What more could you ask for right now?
