Masterchef!

Some of you might think my blog is getting boring since it is turning more and more domestic and a lot about cooking but for me this is so exciting because I have never really cooked before.

On the menu tonight was a lamb roast. I have actually been really nervous about this meal for three days and I have postponed it for three days because I wasn't really sure about how to do it and realised I had forgotten ingredients etc etc. I feel like a roast is one of the biggest things to master in the kitchen so this is why I wanted to challenge myself to do it. And today was the day!

I called Rhys' mom about 3 times during the day to ask her about different ways to do different things and asked both my aunt and my mom for grandma's lovely recipe for her famous gravy. However, in the end it turned out fantastic! It was a lot of work and it is not something I'll be making every week but oh so yummy!

Lamb roast for 1.5 hrs.
Roast pumpkin
Roasted carrots
Boiled cauliflower with cheese sauce
Boiled corn on the cob
Roasted potatoes cut up with parmesan cheese on top
And of course grandma's awesome gravy which I did a great job on (if I may say so myself :) )

So happy and so excited!!!

And the best part is seeing the boys clean up after... :)
