I am still waiting on my visa and am still not allowed to work. However, after helping out a little bit with the events committee at the Adelaide 36ers basketball club, I asked if they would like some more help in the office because I would love an internship to give me a little something to do. I explained that I worked with Rhys' basketball club last year, Gothia Basket, in Gothenburg as well as worked within marketing and studied media. So I started on Tuesday to help out with some of their marketing and media production. I've been working two days and already in love with it.
They gave me my own office, however since it is only a temporary job, I'm not really sure how much I can claim it as my own but it is still quite a luxury. I've been working on two events that the club is hosting that are coming up soon. I'm doing stuff that I love that is right up my alley so perfect. The people in the office are also great people and it is a really relaxed atmosphere. I got to choose my own hours since I'm working for free so I've chosen to work half days 9-12 or 1. So come summer, I can spend the afternoons on the beach. Although, at the moment, I would love to work all day in there.
So basically to sum it up - I've got my dream job just without the cash...
