Housewife

Been staying with my friend Jo in Gothenburg. The last bit we'll be seeing of each other for a long time before I leave for Australia. It's been so nice spending quality time together. I have become quite the housewife during my few days here. She gets up at 5:45 am to go to work and I sleep in, have a nice and slow breakfast, hit the town to run errands and then I go shopping and cook food for when she gets home. I never feel that I have been that good at cooking and not really enjoyed it but these few days have been good fun. I pick a recipe and then go shopping for the ingredients and cook it. One day I made salmon with boiled potatoes and squash with cheese inside (a new recipe I learned last week) and baked tomato. The next day I made a baked pancake (ugns pannkaka as we say in Swedish) with mushroom, onion and ham with bacon on the side (not the most healthy meal but one of Jo's favourites).




I'm quite proud of myself. Not even Rhys has gotten such great treatment. However this may have sparked up quite an interest in cooking so he might receive this dynamite treatment in the near future :).
